To my knowledge, these two are the only recordings of The Crystal Image.  I know for a fact that they are the only recordings made in a studio (of sorts).  These two songs were recorded for the Saturday morning program, "Dance Party" on KTUL-TV, channel 8, in Tulsa.  A lot of local bands used this program to publicize their upcoming dances.  We were about to play at a popular dance club in Okmulgee, and we used our appearance to advertise that show.

The first song we did was The Beatles' Get Back (4.4 MB).  The show's host was impressed, and asked Kenny if we were big fans of the Beatles.  Duh!?  We didn't have any keyboards, so we couldn't imitate the accompaniment that Billy Preston gave on the original.

The next song, I think the better of the two, was our "cover" of Come On Up (3.9 MB) by Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals).  This tune was covered by a lot of recording artists, including the Five Americans.  Ours was somewhat of a "blend" of some of our favorite covers.  The guitar solo and subsequent re-entry are surprisingly nice!
